Step 2: Try the free IELTS practice tests

Why do we recommend this to you?
Once you’ve attended an IELTS Masterclass and received tips and tricks on what to do (and what not to do) to get a higher score. You also know what examiners are looking for. Now it’s a good idea to practice.

During Step 1, you would have learnt an important tip for your Writing test: For example, you must write your answer in full; not in note form or bullet points. You should also arrange your ideas in paragraphs. Keep these tips in mind, and try a practice Writing (and Reading/Listening) test.

The IELTS free practice tests

In this step of your preparation you’ll get to:

Practice completing the tasks under test conditions. Our tip is to set a time to complete tasks within the allocated time frame.

Get experience with different questions. The more familiar it becomes, the more confidence you’ll have!

Review your answers to the model answer sheet to see how you went.

Can you identify your strengths and weaknesses? Now that you know this, it’s time to move onto Step 3.

Step 3: Get test feedback and expert coaching

You’ve done Step 1 and Step 2. So you’ve learnt some of the tips and tricks on getting a higher score. Fantastic! Now it’s time for individual, expert advice from an official IELTS coach in Step 3.
