How much is the IELTS test fee?

The cost of an IELTS test in the Pacific is AUD475. The price for the exam is the same whether you take IELTS General Training or IELTS Academic. There is no separate registration fee or payment processing fee. There is also no late payment fee.

How do I book my IELTS test?

Accepted Answer

Booking your IELTS test is easy. Scroll the booking calendar above. Once you find a test date that suits you, follow the steps to book your test.
You must have a clear and legible scanned copy of your current valid passport to upload when applying. The copy you upload must be of the page(s) with your photo, name, date of birth, passport number, and expiry date.
If you have any difficulty booking your test, please contact our IELTS Customer Support team and they can assist with completing your booking.

How can I pay for the IELTS test?

You will need to pay for your IELTS test using an International Credit Card. Payment must be made within 48 hours of registering online.If you are not able to access an International Credit Card, please get in touch with Tupou Tertiary Institute to pay with cash. This must be paid in full 7 days prior to the test day.

What do I need to apply for the IELTS test?

A valid passport or valid Tongan National ID is mandatory as a form of identification.

What do I need on test day?

Accepted Answer

A valid passport and you can bring a bottle of water, as long as the bottle is transparent. The centre will supply stationery.

IELTS is accepted by more than 12,500 organisations worldwide in over 150 countries. These include universities, immigration departments, government agencies, professional bodies and multinational companies.

How do I know if the IELTS Academic or General Training test is right for me?

The test you choose should be based on what it is you want to do.
The IELTS Academic test is for those who want to study at a tertiary level in an English-speaking country.
The IELTS General Training test is for those who want to do work experience or training programmes, secondary school or migrate to an English-speaking country.
All candidates take the same Listening and Speaking tests but different Reading and Writing tests.

What is the test format and how long will it take?

IELTS has four parts – Listening (30 minutes), Reading (60 minutes), Writing (60 minutes) and Speaking (11–14 minutes). The total test time is 2 hours and 45 minutes.
The Listening, Reading and Writing tests are done in one sitting. The Speaking test may be on the same day or before or after the other tests.

We make every effort to cater for test takers' special requirements. It's our aim for all test takers to be assessed fairly and objectively. If you have any special requirements, contact your Test Centre. Centres may need 6 weeks to organise arrangements.

If you take the IELTS on computer test, your results are available in typically one day.
