Covid-19 restrictions for New Zealand
Last updated: Monday 9 May 2022
New Zealand has implemented traffic light settings as part of the COVID-19 Protection Framework. All of New Zealand is at the Orange traffic light setting.
IDP supports robust health measures to ensure our staff and test takers can attend a test centre with confidence. As such, IELTS testing has been determined as a Close Proximity Service. At the setting of Orange, test takers are required to wear a mask to enter the venue and throughout the test.
Test centres in New Zealand will continue to operate in a restricted manner, ensuring that all COVID-19 requirements are being met. Please contact your test centre for more details or read more about what to expect on test day here.
